Investing Note: A Week Of Wins
This past week, we exited one trade up 60%, and we're up more than 60% on two other trades where we still have positions. Here are the details, and how you might be able to still participate in two of them.
Natural gas. When U.S. natural gas prices hit a 20-month low on Tuesday, we placed a leveraged bet on them going higher. As of Friday's close, our call options on a leveraged natural gas ETF were up 68%. I picked options expiring in September for this trade, because I think natural gas may have a lot further to run by then. It's probably not too late to enter this trade.
Opendoor Technologies (OPEN). We bought $2 strike puts on OPEN on Thursday and exited them for a 60% gain on Friday.
Carvana Co. (CVNA). Earlier this month, when shares of Carvana spiked over $17 per share, we bought put options on it.
With Carvana shares plummeting 20% on Friday, those puts are now up 63% from where we bought them. Carvana probably has further to fall, and might be worth betting against it again on another rally.
Have a great weekend.
