Stocks or Exchange Traded Products
Another week with no exits, as our core strategy of buying our top ten names and holding them until they get stopped out (and then replacing them with a new top ten name) continues to perform well. As we noted in our top names post, 21 of our 27 top names cohorts so far since we started this Substack have outperformed the market.
Options Trades
The GOOGL spread was a technical trade that didn’t pan out.
Last week, we didn’t see any compelling opportunities, but we’ll see what we can come up with next week.
I actually made money on the Google trade. I couldn't find the 142 strike so entered at 140. The spread never widened because both the legs were in the money. In retrospect I should have bought the 140 call instead of spread. Entered at dr of. 38, exited at. 55 cr.
