A New Weekly Post
I’m thinking of detailing each week’s closing trades at the end of the week, if readers are interested and it isn’t too difficult to do. These are the trades I exited this week:
Stocks or Exchange Traded Products
First Solar, Inc. ( FSLR 0.00%↑ ). This was actually sold last week, but I just noticed today. Bought at $146.50 on 12/30/2023 after it appeared in our first Top Names post; sold at $183.38 on 4/28/2003. Profit: 20.1%.
Options Trades
Puts on Coinbase Global, Inc. ( COIN 0.00%↑ ). I bought these at $6.55 in March, as I mentioned in this post at the time; I sold them at $7 on May 1st, as I noted in the comments of this post (I just edited that comment because I had accidentally written “call” instead of “put” initially). Profit: 7%
Call spread on Sprout’s Farmer’s Market, Inc. ( SFM 0.00%↑ ). I opened this for a net debit of $0.45 on Monday as I noted in this post at the time, and sold it for a net credit of $0.75 today, as I noted in the comments on that post. Profit: 67%
Call spread on Wingstop, Inc. ( WING 0.00%↑ ). I opened this for a net debit of $3.05 on Monday, as I noted here at the time, and sold it for a net credit of $6.12 yesterday, as I noted in the comments on that post at the time. Profit: 100%
Puts on First Foundation, Inc. ( FFWM 0.00%↑ ). I bought these in March for $1, as I wrote in this post at the time, and sold them at $3 on May 2nd, as I noted here at the time. Profit: 200%
Puts on Bank of Hawaii Corporation ( BOH 0.00%↑ ). I bought these for $6.12, as I noted in this post at the time, and sold them for $11 yesterday, as I noted here. Profit: 80%
Put spread on Cardlytics, Inc. ( CDLX 0.00%↑ ). I opened this for a net debit of $1.25 in April, as I wrote in this post at the time, and sold for a net credit of $1.35 today, as I noted in a comment there. Profit: 6.7%.
Overall, a profitable week. I should have some new earnings trades for you on Monday.
