Top Names Trades: Not Usually Daily

I look at Portfolio Armor’s top ten names every trading day. I don’t always see a stock I want to place a trade on. Wednesday’s top ten included 3 names we already have open options positions on, but the #1 name was a new one.

Synchronicity

Anna Khachiyan co-hosts a popular podcast called “Red Scare” (last I checked, it generated ~$50k per month in subscriptions) and we follow each other on X. She tends to be somewhat ahead of the curve culturally and politically. Originally associated with the left, she has helped popularize influential voices on the right, such as Steve Sailer. On Tuesday night, she mentioned having an energy drink. The next night, the company that makes that energy drink was our #1 name.

Apparently this company’s drinks remained popular while its shares took investors on a roller coaster ride over the last few years. Now it’s back on the upswing and on our top names. And we’re going to try to make some money betting on it with options.

Our trade on it today is a very simple one suggested by our friend David Janello, PhD, CFA, of SpreadHunter, one that could potentially double our money in a few weeks on a small move.
