last question for now, do I need to also subscribe to the app, in addition to the basic subscription here?

You don't need to, but a subscription to the website or the top names feature within the iPhone app will give you our current top ten names every day the market's open, rather than just once per week.

Just trying to understand how this works, so its $30/month for the sub stack, and I saw $29.99 to see the daily top names in the app. Is it better to wait for the weekly update or to dive in at any time? Thanks for your patience!

That's up to you. You can wait for the update if you want.

The app is good to have though if you want to scan for optimal hedges on SPY or another index ETF to protect against market risk though.

Appreciate the help, have not traded in years.

So when should I follow the top ten to start, do I wait for this Thursday or? Liquid and ready to start.

Thank you!

Just purchased a monthly $30 plan and i have to pay $90 for your app???? Really?

You don't have to buy the app if you don't want to, but the app is expensive to maintain. Also, the app is ~$85, not $90.

Not a problem, I fully understand and will get today as it will alert me to trades & such, correct? So my question is, I put $7k to start in my Roth, what are my next steps? Do you have a post about what new people are to allocate and where or just wait for future trades? I'll be adding regularly to the account as well. Look forward to working with you!

This Substack will alert you to trades, and show you Portfolio Armor's top ten long ideas each week. The iPhone app will let you scan for optimal hedges on stocks and ETFs.

If you see the most recent top names post, those were our top ten long ideas as of Thursday's close. Our core strategy is to buy equal dollar amounts of those and put trailing stops on them, and then to replace with new top names as they get stopped out.

David I’m a current subscriber to the portfolio Armour app at $5 per month. Does this get me any access to the substack or is that a separate service? Thanks

Hi Todd,

It’s a separate service, but I’ll make it available to subscribers of the $30 top names feature on the iPhone app as well.
